Almagel is a product that reduces excess stomach acid . A balanced gel of aluminum and magnesium hydroxides are insoluble and hardly absorbed in the body. Act locally on the gastric mucosa and protects it from irritation heartburn and other harmful substances and foods reduces the activity of pepsin. Product decreased and increased acidity in the esophagus . Has anti-inflammatory and astringent action on the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Excipient sorbitol has little carminative and cholagogue action moderate , and mild laxative effect.
