Description
Astaxanthin (Antioxidant protection and strong vision) x40 product contains seaweed extract (source of natural astaxanthin), vitamin E and honey – a combination of natural ingredients to protect cells from oxidative stress, maintain good vision, increase energy and strengthen immunity.
A key component in the composition of the product is astaxanthin – a deep red carotenoid that is contained in the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. Moving up the food chain, astaxanthin imparts its characteristic pink hue to salmon, kingfish, shrimp, lobster, and other fish and crustaceans that ingest it.
Other substances from the carotenoid family known for their antioxidant properties are beta-carotene (found in carrots), lycopene (found in tomatoes), the yellow-orange pigments lutein and zeaxanthin (found in leafy greens). Among them, astaxanthin stands out with the most powerful antioxidant activity.
Thanks to its special molecular structure, astaxanthin penetrates the blood-brain and blood-retinal barrier much more easily than beta-carotene and other carotenoids, enters the cell membranes and exerts its exceptional antioxidant effects.
The antioxidant activity of astaxanthin is about 6000 times higher than that of vitamin C, 550 times higher than that of vitamin E, and about 40 times higher than that of beta-carotene.
Ingredients:
Safflower oil (57%), corn starch, glycerin, algae extract /Haematococcus pluvialis/, 6.8%, providing 10% astaxanthin, carrageenan (from red algae Chondrus crispus/), silicon dioxide, d-tocopheol (1.8%), honey bisglycinate (0.53%), mixed tocopherols, sodium carbonate.
