Argan Hautöl – Argan oil A powerful moisturizer for dry and damaged skin x50 ml 100% natural argan oil of the highest class. It is traditionally used in the treatment of dry skin, sunburns, atopic dermatitis (the most common type of eczema), acne, wrinkles and loss of elasticity.
What is argan oil?
It is obtained by cold pressing the nuts of the evergreen Argan tree (Argania spinosa), which is native to Morocco and belongs to the Sapotaceae family. The Berber tribes of Morocco call it the “tree of life”, “arjan” or “iron tree”. It is one of the oldest trees on earth, and the famous physician Ibn Al Baitar provided the first written information about it in 1219.
The famous argan oil is extracted in Morocco by Berber women using a traditional method. Harvesting takes place from July to September. The fruits are air-dried and the hard nuts are peeled and cracked with a stone, then roasted over an open fire and ground to a pulp in a hand-held stone mill. Adding water turns the pulp into a paste from which the Berber women press the argan oil by hand.
High-quality argan oil is considered the elixir of life in Morocco and is often referred to as “Moroccan liquid gold”.
